James Causton has been working with trees since 1966. He gained his first qualifications from Merristwood Horticultural College in Surrey, England in 1976. He worked as a freelance Consulting Arborist for the Department of the Environment in England until 1980.
Since arriving in the United States of America he has continued his practice as a Consulting Arborist, as well as achieving Certification with the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). He spends many hours each year attending seminars and workshops in order to stay abreast of the latest research and development in the field. He also conducts and teaches at such seminars and workshops.
Eve Dixon has worked with James Causton as an assistant since 1980 and is also an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist. She is also a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies and has extensively studied the role of vegetation in maintaining stability on slopes in the Pacific Northwest.
